Line Cook

Description:The Denver Athletic Club is seeking a full time Line Cook, working from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm This Line Cook will prepare food in accordance with club recipes, and always maintain a clean and safe work environment in the kitchen.
Duties:

This Line Cook will:

  • Set up kitchen to be prepared for service
  • Operate food production equipment according to manufacturers' instruction
  • Follow standard recipes while preparing for assigned items for banquet service
  • Notify Sous Chef of expected shortages
  • Handle leftover food items as instructed by Sous Chef
  • Clean assigned work area
  • Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices, including those related to personal hygiene
  • Maintain neat and professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
  • Requisition items needed to produce menu items
  • Cover, date and neatly store all leftover food items that are reusable
  • Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations
  • Keep coolers and freezers clean and organized
  • Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by First Cook
  • Report to Sous Chef
  • No supervisory duties are included in this position
Qualifications:2 years experience is required
